Dr. Jane has vast expertise and experience in the field of communications, gender and media. She is a former Executive Director of AMWIK (2007-2013) and the immediate former Vice-Chairperson. She is a lecturer at the communications department of the University of Nairobi and Daystar Universities.

She holds a PhD from the University of Nairobi, a Master of Arts in Communications degree from Daystar University and a B.ED (Arts) from Moi University.
