AMWIK/UNESCO Safety and Equity Gaps Training for Women Journalists

The Association of Media Women in Kenya (AMWIK), with support from UNESCO’s International Programme for the Development of Communication (IPDC), is implementing the project “Empowering Journalists for Safety and Equity in Kenya.” The project seeks to contribute to a safer, more inclusive, and gender-responsive media environment where women journalists can work without fear of violence, harassment, or discrimination.

As part of the project, AMWIK will train 60 women journalists from Nairobi, Mombasa, Busia and Kakamega on digital safety, online security, protection against cyber threats and psychosocial support. All trainings  will be conducted virtually. Apply as one of the 60 female journalists across the mentioned counties below.
