The Association of Media Women in Kenya (AMWIK) Elections Committee has officially announced the completion of its vetting process and released the final list of cleared candidates for the 2025 Board Elections. This pivotal moment, as stated by Toepista Nabusoba, Chairperson of the AMWIK Elections Committee 2025, not only signifies the launch of the campaign period but also underscores the critical importance of strong leadership for AMWIK’s continued mission.

With several key positions being unopposed, the electoral focus will be on the keenly contested Vice Chairperson role, where Elizabeth Limagur and Ruth Nebokhi Nesoba will vie for member votes.
The campaign period has officially begun and will run until midnight on June 26, 2025. All cleared candidates, including those in unopposed roles, are however expected to present their manifestos to AMWIK members in upcoming engagement forums.
The 2025 Board Elections will culminate on June 28, 2025, during AMWIK’s hybrid Annual General Meeting.
