The Association of Media Women in Kenya (AMWIK) will hold its Board Elections on Saturday, 28th June 2025, as part of its continued commitment to transparent leadership and effective governance. The elections will take place during the organization’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) as per the AMWIK 2025 calendar. 

The AMWIK Elections Committee 2025 has officially declared the following vacant positions on the Board: 

1. Chairperson 
2. Vice-Chairperson 
3. Treasurer 
4. Board Members (Three positions) 
5. Board of Trustees (Five positions) 
6. Members of the Appeals Committee (Five positions) 

All eligible members who meet the stipulated criteria are encouraged to vie for these positions. Nomination forms are expected to be submitted to the AMWIK Secretariat by 2nd June 2025. Thereafter, the Elections Committee will vet the candidates, followed by the official announcement of successful candidates and the launch of campaigns, which will end at midnight on 26th June 2025. 

The election process is being conducted in strict adherence to AMWIK’s Constitution and electoral procedures, with oversight from an independent and impartial Elections Committee. The organization seeks to uphold democratic values and ensure that all members have a voice in shaping AMWIK’s future.
