The AMWIK Membership Dialogue 2025 was a landmark event that brought together members from across the country, fostering a vibrant exchange of ideas, collaboration, and professional networking. This pivotal gathering not only served as a platform for driving change and promoting inclusivity within AMWIK but also provided a unique opportunity for members to reconnect, share insights, and envision the future of the organization.

Faciloitated by Jackie Malomba, the session transcended mere fun activities to delve into key issues affecting members. Through interactive discussions, Jackie facilitated an open and engaging conversation where members shared their experiences, challenges, and aspirations. This insightful engagement will inform a comprehensive membership engagement strategy designed to enhance participation and support.

AMWIK’s Executive Director, Queenter Mbori, underscored the organization’s strength in its diverse membership, emphasizing inclusivity and diversity. “AMWIK stands for inclusivity, ensuring diversity in both age and gender. The organization remains dedicated to creating a supportive space for all members, fostering growth and collaboration,” she emphasized. Her words reinforced AMWIK’s commitment to unity and active participation, encouraging members to engage more deeply with the organization.

AMWIK Chairperson, Dr. Jane Thuo highlighted the importance of unity and collective action in advancing the association’s goals. She encouraged members to actively contribute their voices and ideas, ensuring that AMWIK remains a strong platform for media women in Kenya. This call to action resonated deeply with members, who were inspired to play a more active role in shaping the organization’s future.

The power of AMWIK’s impact was palpable in the success stories shared during the dialogue. Beatrice, one of the members, spoke about how AMWIK had facilitated her education, expressing heartfelt gratitude for the opportunities it had provided. “AMWIK has been there for me, supporting my education and providing me with opportunities I never thought possible,” Beatrice shared. Her testimony underscored the organization’s role in transforming lives and fostering professional growth.

Vice Chairperson Lillian Anyango echoed Beatrice’s sentiment, emphasizing the need for continuous collaboration and mentorship within the organization. Their remarks, coupled with members’ contributions, reinforced the session’s impact in fostering a stronger and more engaged AMWIK community.

The AMWIK team-building session was a dynamic and engaging experience designed to strengthen teamwork and camaraderie among members. Participants engaged in fun icebreakers, strategic games, and teamwork exercises that tested their creativity and coordination.
