Lilian Museka draws from her personal experience when advocating for gender equality. Having passionately worked in the media for the last 16 years promoting the girl generation, she has worn several accolades in her story telling both nationally and internationally.
Her article on Women’s dignity restored through sanitary towels dispensers worn an award during the APO Group 5th Africa Women Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum (AWIEF) hosted at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC), South Africa in 2019. Her continuous desire to see a world free of violence led her to successfully rally civil societies in Zambia to develop programmes to address sexual violence against school girls in Zambia while on an exchange programme in 2010.
She continues her gender advocacy journey, currently serving as the programmes Officer at The Association of Media Women in Kenya (AMWIK), an organization bringing together more than 300 women in media to pull their professional skills in giving visibility to women issues.
