AMWIK in partnership with The Urgent Action Fund, Eastern African Sub-Regional Support Initiative for the Advancement of Women and a consortium including Tanzania Media Women Association, IIDA Women’s Development Organisation, and Friends of Lake Turkana is currently implementing an advocacy project documenting the impact of Covid 19 on small and medium scale women traders in Eastern Africa with a view to build evidence to be used in supporting recovery efforts . AMWIK is focusing in Kenya and also telling stories on the Social Impact of COVID19.

Development of A Resource Mobilization Strategy

Are you an AMWIK member covering the COVID19 Pandemic here in Kenya? Do you need additional resources to help you cover and present a well-balanced, objective and captivating story?

The Association of Media Women in Kenya (AMWIK) would like to support you in this endeavor. This is but a modest amount to help you in pursuing the story and will include expenses such as data bundles, airtime, and transport.

Please send a snippet of your story idea and the kind of support you may need to info@amwik.org . Please also include your name, phone number and media outlet you hope to publish the story in. Freelance journalists and bloggers are also invited to submit their request. Also feel free to request for a senior member who may brainstorm together with you on your story idea. This starts us off towards our feature service.
