AMWIK PAYS COURTESY CALL TO URAIA TRUST
The AMWIK team led by the ED, Patience Nyange paid a courtesy call to the Uraia Trust secretariat to advance collaborative relations. The talks focused on the role of media in promoting a gender-responsive society, online harassment and enhancing women’s participation in leadership.
Uraia Trust CEO, Oliver Waindi termed the meeting crucial due to the media’s role in reaching the most remote persons who are sometimes forgotten. “AMWIK has a history of using various mediums to reach the most interior parts of Kenya. Their membership also presents a unique chance to help us amplify our work.” He said.
The teams are currently working towards formalizing the working engagement.
