Journalists Safety and Protection Manual Launched


staying safeThe Media Council of Kenya and media stakeholders among them the Association of Media Women in Kenya (AMWIK) launched the Journalists’ Safety and Protection Protocol in Nairobi on 18 August 2014 at the Serena Hotel.

 

The protocol sets the framework for the safety guide and a charter for Media Owners and managers committing them to a number if obligations intended to make the journalists environment safer than it currently is. The highlight of the launch was the signing of the Safety Charter by media houses as commitment to the safety of media practitioners. Below are the links of the Protocol in English and Kiswahili
